I enjoyed reading Sapiens a couple years ago. Thought it had some very interesting things.
I started reading Crying of Lot 49 but kinda fell off of it because I think I was reading it too late and even if I think I'm alright at English when reading it I realized it might be a bit more challenging ...

Re: Let's talk about music!
I've never liked spotify personally but that's mostly from the perspective of expecting people to pay for ad free listening. It took me a while to get into the rythmn of the game, I remember I got stuck for some time during the first part of the game, but I always loved Little Big Adventure 2 or Twinsen's Odissey as it was titled for the Americas.

Saw Boogie Nights for the first time last night and honestly I absolutely loved it!
I don't know why it took me so long to get into Paul Thomas Anderson but I've loved every film I've seen of him.

Re: Let's talk about music!
I'd be down to doing this! I used to be big into listening to albums, it's all I did. but now it has become something that I have to save time for.
This past week I've been listening to Kaleidoscope's Flaintly Blowing from 1969.
I love the song The Feathered Tiger.

The Exorcist III is possibly my favorite horror movie still. I saw it when I was 17 and maybe still a catholic, so it does hit differently and particularly. It's a type of fear that I've never been able to shake off; like even if today I'd watch it or the first Exorcist, I'm pretty sure I'd have a ...

Re: Post A Painting You Are Thinking About
Lately I've been thinking a lot of Philip Guston's paintings. This one is Floor.
My favorite work of his is this late period that's more figurative or cartoony, after his work with abstraction for years. Lots of red and pink, very loose.
