Sometimes I use street view to see parts of the world i've never seen or to remind myself how things been, so I thought it might be cool to share some interesting or odd things you've seen, I don't have much myself right now but I think I want to screenshot more if that's something people would like to share. ( I hope it is a right place for that but addendum is probably better?) Also this is not an advert for google or anything, but i def like aspects of street view especially with travel being so expensive and seeing world being quite hard.

Yesss I'd love to see more street view finds! I don't go there as much these days (though I used to be completely fascinated with Google Earth and Street View a decade ago), but I love finding all the weird little vignettes and scenarios that get captured. It's also cool when a location gets captured multiple times and you can compare like, 2011 and 2017 or something.

most of the streetviewing i do is when i'm moving to a new place and really excited to see what kind of stuff is around (or checking in on old places i've lived)... so posting that stuff is veering on doxxing myself lol. BUT... there's such a strong romantic idealistic feeling to taking the streetview car around a future neighborhood... it's a sweet little tradition. it's always fun getting your sort of warped, outdated impression of a place shattered by your real human eyes once you get there.

I like looking for roadside attractions, playgrounds, convenience stores etc.

Posting stuff around the spots anyone writing actually lives at does sound scary and was one of my main concerns about starting this thread, but thought that'd be something that most people would understand anyway, but yeah def hope nobody actually does that
And yeah, we've done that as well with the place we live at right now and actually stepping on these streets for the first time after seeing them on street view was very interesting and weird.

Been researching cities in the Balkans for a project and I got an amazing random click in Kavala, Greece.
