Re: City Builders / Ant Farm Games

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the pre-digital PC game thread , but an english fan translation of the original A-Train just came out. It might be of interest to the fine folks here (or there).

Re: Layout/Theme Feedback

Do you mean you want an img tag that lets you specify the displayed size of an image while writing a post, or something similar to the "expandable thumbnail" idea in the OP?

I was thinking something to shrink down images that are overly large. Like if I want to embed an image that's 2000x2000px ...

Re: The Personal Desktop Computer

I'll probably forever be mystified by Gainax's Princess Maker 2 , a game that was near-fully localized into English for MS-DOS, but then never shipped. How might the world have changed if it had...? We almost had the foundational text for raising sims in our hands, but alas.

I guess the remakes are ...

I've also been playing Monster Hunter 2 on a private server this year, my first time seeing the online campaign. Enjoying that even though it's grindy.

I really want to play the PS2 Monster Hunters soon... hearing that there were private servers up for them and seeing friends play together ...

Re: movie thread

I just saw Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc in 3D and it's easily the best 3D movie I've ever seen. ...Though admittedly I haven't seen all that many. I kinda forgot it was a thing after the big 3D TV boom some years back came and went.

The company that did the conversion on it did such a good job that it ...

Re: Image and gif thread

I've been getting into AVIF lately.

https://files.catbox.moe/dzjs91.avif

It has some of the same issues as webp where support for it is dodgy outside of web browsers, but WOW does it compress better than anything I've ever seen. 296 KB for 8 seconds of dynamic animation is nuts! As a GIF this ...
